The SF – RW1205 overview
Rowing machines are excellent for aerobic training. Aerobic exercise stimulates the heart rate and increases blood flow throughout the body.
The SF – RW1205 will raise your heart rate and get you sweating in no time at all. It is a serious calorie burner where you can burn about 160-200 calories in 30 minutes of rowing.
This particular model is hydraulic operated. It has a hydraulic piston fitted on the handles for resistance. The piston stretches from the handles to the foot pedals.
The level of resistance can be adjusted on the piston end close to the handles. Hydraulic operated rowing machines generally cost less than the other models.
The good thing is they are just as effective. This is a good machine to add to your home gym.

The Positives of the SF – RW1205
Good value for money – This machine is reasonably priced at Amazon. The price is at the lower end of rowing machine prices which can range up to $400.
The good thing after paying the low price your still get a lot of mileage out this small machine. It does not bust your pocket and you will still be able to buy other equipment.
Adjustable Resistance Levels – The machine has 12 adjustable levels. As a beginner you can start at the lower resistance levels and slowly adjust as you do more workouts and your muscles get stronger.
Easy to assemble and set up – The machine is shipped already more than 60% assembled. The rest of the assembling is easy and can be done in 30 minutes.
Lightweight and portable – The machine weighs just over 20Lbs. You can easily move it to storage at the end of use. It is about 4.5 feet long and 0.5 foot wide and 0.5 foot high. If you need to move it, it is easily portable.
LCD Monitor – This is essential for measuring calories burnt, time spent, distance covered and stroke count. You can set yourself a target for the workout and only stop when you have reached your target.
Cushioned seat and handle bars for comfort use. The padding on the handles make it comfortable to handle

Any man made machine will have some flows. The overall tilt of the scale should however be positive. In the case of the SF – RW1205 machine, it is definitely positive. We should mention the flows though.
Maximum weight allowed is 220Lbs. This means people who are heavier, the ones who may need it the most will not be able to use this machine.
Piston may heat up on prolonged use. The piston contains hydraulic oil inside which heats up after a long continuous use. When it heats up resistance is be reduced.
You can increase the resistance on the dial to maintain the same resistance through your workout but this is a drawback. This is a common problem with all hydraulic piston operated machines.

The rowing machine gives quite a good all round workout. It works different muscle groups.

You must warm up by stretching your limbs and muscles before you start working out. Warming up helps to prevent injuries and muscle cramps.
I recommend the SF – RW1205 rowing machine. It may not work 100% for professional and experienced workout enthusiasts but for beginners and those intending to shed some pounds off it will work just fine.
The good thing is you can fold it into storage at the end of use.
My personal view is it gives you a bit of both aerobic exercise and strength training at the same time for very good value.
As you work out it raises your heart rate and gets your blood flowing but at the same time works a lot of your muscles giving you the strength and lean mass that you need.
This machine is a recommended buy from me to add to your home gym equipment. You can buy other equipment and have a circuit workout if you have the space.
